RAIL and district council officials are being called on to sort out who is responsible for clearing a pedestrian tunnel in Ludlow.
Vivienne Parry, who sits on both Shropshire County Council and South Shropshire District Council, wants litter and foliage cleared from the pedestrial tunnel linking Rock Lane and Sheet Road.
“It seems the main problem is the lack of agreement between Network Rail and the district council as to who is responsible fortidying up the litter and plant growth which is making the place look so unsightly and forbidding,” she said.
Although some of the litter had been removed there was still no agreement about who was responsible, she said. “I still need to get a frim agreement from both bodies about clearing this undergrowth and picking up litter on a regular basis.”
