HEAVY rain and ferocious winds caused havoc in Tenbury Wells last night.

Around 6.30pm, firefighters were called to an address in Stanbrook Road after fears it was going to flood, although sandbags prevented this.

Later in the evening, four people were led to safety by the Tenbury fire service after three vehicles became stuck in floodwater on the A443 Worcester road at Newnham Bridge.

Also on the roads, the A49 between Bromfield and Craven Arms, and the B4364 Bridgnorth to Ludlow road were both hit by flooding.
