ONE of Tenbury’s biggest employers has announced its closure with the loss of almost 40 jobs.
Richard Lloyd Ltd, on Boraston Lane, is yet another victim of the current economic squeeze which left bosses breaking the news to its employees last week.
Thirty eight jobs have been lost.
The factory, which supplied cutting tools and carbide taps, has now gone into receivership and closed down with immediate effect.
Richard Lloyd Ltd has been in Tenbury Wells since 1942, when it moved from Birmingham to escape possible damage from wartime bombing.
It was originally established in 1803.
