A HEREFORD man has been up before the magistrates after "wilfully obstructing" police in the city.
Peter Dillon entered a guilty plea to one count of obstructing or resisting a constable in the execution of their duties when he appeared before magistrates this month.
The court heard from the prosecutor that the 52-year-old had wilfully obstructed a police officer who was acting in the execution of his duty in an incident in Hereford on May 2 last year.

Dillon, of Golden Post, Hereford, was handed a 12-month conditional discharge, with magistrates saying his guilty plea had been taken into account when deciding on the penalty.
This means that he will not be sentenced for the offence unless he were to re-offend within 12 months.
He was also ordered by Worcester magistrates to pay prosecution costs of £135 and a £26 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
