A CABARET will be coming to Ludlow in aid of local cancer and palliative care charities.

It is set to be a night of burlesque, comedy, music and entertainment from the Wicked Wenches, Ludlow's burlesque troupe. There will also be a "Full Monty" style performance by 12 men.

It will take place on June 8 at 7.30 pm and can be booked on the Ludlow Assembly Rooms website.

An advert for the event on social media says: "In celebration of her big birthday, Di Ward and friends, in collaboration with Ludlow Assembly Rooms, present an evening of burlesque, comedy, music and entertainment.

"And, what's more, it's all in support of local cancer treatment and palliative care charities.

"This is going to be the town's night of the year, led by Ludlow's own saucy, sassy and seductive burlesque troupe the Wicked Wenches, with a grand finale of our male specimens performing a spectacular "Full Monty" routine.

"They'll be familiar to you, but will it be their faces you remember next time you're behind them in the queue for Ludlow sausage at the butcher?

"Imagine if you were the one to miss out! Life is a cabaret old chum so come join us."

The event is adults-only and identification and proof of age will be required for entry.

Tickets cost £25, which includes a welcome drink.

The Assembly Rooms is an arts and community venue in Ludlow, with a varied programme of film, theatre, music, comedy and more over six days a week.
