THE family of a teenager killed as he made his way home from a party has made an emotional plea two years after his tragic death.

Shropshire teenager Dylan Price was found dead on the B4385 Brampton Road in Bishops Castle, Shropshire, after being struck by a vehicle in the early hours on Sunday, September 19, 2021.

A post-mortem examination revealed his injuries were consistent with a collision with a vehicle.

The 17-year-old's family along with detectives, are once again asking the public to please contact them if they have any information regarding the circumstances which led to his death.

A 42-year-old man from Bishops Castle was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in October 2021, but was later released, with police confirming they were satisfied he was not involved in the death.

West Mercia Police confirmed on September 19 that no one has yet been charged with Dylan’s death and investigations continue.

Dylan had been a keen rugby player who worked as a lifeguard at SpArC in Bishop’s Castle and had planned to do a mechanics apprenticeship through a college and his grandfather’s business.

An inquest held at Shrewsbury's Shirehall in May 2022 heard that Dylan had been playing rugby at Bishop's Castle and Onny Valley RFC home ground with his dad on September 18 and later went to the King's Head pub and the Crown and Anchor Vaults pubs.

Dylan then went to a house party in Bishop's Castle, then later to another house party just over a mile from the town. He was last seen by his friend William Jones at the party between 2.30am and 3am.

Lousie Bristow, Dylan’s mum, said: “The not knowing is just heartbreaking, it’s still there every day.

“Somebody knows something, just tell us, if it is somebody you know, surely getting it out there would be so much easier because living with the guilt for two years must be absolutely horrendous.

“We know it was an accident and we just want answers.”
