Thieves snatch ladders

7:58am Tuesday 1st July 2008

TWO sets of bright-orange ladders which are so heavy at least two people are needed to lift them have been stolen from the roof of a car in Ludlow.

The ladders, which are made of fibreglass and are unique to the company they belong to, are about three to four metres and have spray paint on one leg.

They were taken between about 4pm on Friday, June 27, and 10.30am on Saturday, June 28, from the roof of a while Land Rover Defender 4x4 parked in Temeside, near the Severn Trent Water depot.

Also stolen was an earthing system in two parts, which was recovered near a skip in Temeside on Sunday.

Sergeant Jonathan Smithson, of Ludlow Police, appealed for anyone who might have been offered the ladders for sale or knows of their whereabouts to contact him on 08457 444888
