Schools merger one step nearer

PLANS to merge Lydbury North and Clunbury schools took a further step forward when Shropshire County Council's cabinet voted to continue with the process.
Formal notices are being issued to close Lydbury North School and expand Clunbury School to 120 places to serve the combined catchment areas of both schools.
A six-week consultation period will then follow.
