IF you're looking for an amazing day out you would be hard pressed to beat the Tenbury Countryside Show.

Now in its 163rd year, the traditional agricultural show attracts thousands of visitors from across the country, with the best sheep, cattle, horses and horticulture in the region all being displayed.

It is the home of the Hereford Cattle Soceity and the National Asociation of Ryeland Sheep, showcasing some of the country's finest heritage breeds. 

From birds of prey, ferrets, horses, livestock, pigs, poultry and rabbits, Tenbury Countryshow Show will have it covered on Saturday, August 5. 

The main ring is one of the largest in the county and will have an abundance of entertainment and competitions taking place. 

It kicks off with the falcontry school at 1pm, followed by a parade of Wyre Forest beagles and Ludlow foxhounds. 

Further entertainment will take place throughout the afternoon, including a parade of shire horses in decorated and working dress and a grand parade of the 37th national show of Hereford cattle.

The squbb freestyle stunt team will be showcasing their talents from 4.30pm to 5pm, with lawn mower racing, a steam engine tug of war and a children;s mile foot race rounding off the day.

The countryside ring, meanwhile, gets things going at 11am with a sheep show. Dog and duck displays will also take place throughout the day, as well as a ferretworld roadshow. 

As well as the main attractions, there will also be competitions for children. This includes young handler competitoons for cattle, sheep and poultry and waterfowl schedules as well as a children's section within the horse and pony show.

Tenbury Countryside Show is located off the A456. Only assistance dogs are allowed on the showground. Visitors are asked to bring cash in the event that the enstrance card machines fail due to signal issues.
