A FOLK legend will return to Bishop's Castle Town Hall to tell the tale of south Shropshire's two Border Morris sides this week.

John Kirkpatrick will speak about the Shropshire Bedlams and Martha Rhoden’s Tuppenny Dish on July 20.

Mr Kirkpatrick, who was recently awarded an MBE for his services to folk music, founded the Shropshire Bedlams and Martha Roden's Tuppenny Dish with Sue Harris in 1975.

The teams, which always perform together, have danced all over the UK showcasing the Border Morris style.

The talk is part of a series of summer events, promoted by Bishop’s Castle Heritage Resource Centre, a local heritage store, archive and activity centre celebrating local history.

Bishop’s Castle Town Hall hosts the talk, with doors opening at 7.30 for an 8pm start. Admission is £5 and a bar will be available. Tickets are available from the Town Hall on 01588 630 023
