THERE are just days to go until the popular Hay Meadow Festival returns to the Discovery Centre’s Onny Meadows in Craven Arms.

This year it is on Saturday, July 15, between 11am and 7pm.

There will be plenty for all the family to get involved with, including talks and demonstrations, guided walks, family activities, have-a-go scything, rural arts and crafts, information stands, bouncy castle, face painting and music, as well as a barbeque and bar.

Tickets are available from the Centre’s front desk and are discounted in advance, with adult tickets at £7.00, £3.00 per child, and a family ticket for up to two adults and three children costing £17.00.

Centre manager Grant Wilson said: “We’re excited to be hosting the festival again this year. Hay meadows are a fantastic habitat for an array of wildlife, but only three per cent of this once-common habitat remains.

"This event showcases the importance of hay meadows for wildlife and our own wellbeing and is a fun day out for all the family.”
