FAMILIES are being invited to learn more about a south Shropshire farm this Sunday (June 11) as part of a national event celebrating all that is good about agriculture.
Eyton Farm, near Lydbury North, is a dairy farm which has cereal (for example barley and wheat) and oilseed crops.
It will be open for free from 11am to 4pm where visitors can see its arable machinery on display and chat to the staff about what they do best.
Visitors can also take advantage of a self-guided walk to the beautiful viewing point above the farm and bring a picnic.
The event is part of LEAF Open Farm Sunday, an annual open day giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about farming and the countryside, and farmers the chance to talk about what they’re proud of.
LEAF (Linking Environment and Farming) works with farmers, the food industry, scientists, environmentalists, teachers, young people and consumers to look at new ways to deliver productivity and prosperity among farmers and enriching the environment.
