SALES have started at a new housing development near Tenbury.
Lovell Homes has launched its development The Meadows in Clifton-upon-Teme.
The Meadows, located off Pound Lane, will provide 35 homes in rural Worcestershire, with the mix of two, three, four and five-bedroom homes overlooking the Teme Valley.
Lovell will also provide 13 affordable homes which will be handed over to affordable housing association Fortis Housing.
A large area of the site will be returned as meadow land, where future homebuyers will be able to enjoy the delights of countryside living right on their doorstep.
The developer said that it is pleased with the site and it will provide additional homes in an area where prices are high and salaries of local workers are less than the national average.
“The site is looking great already,” said Michelle Barnsley, sales manager for the house builder.
“This charming village offers homebuyers a peaceful lifestyle in a rural location, complete with a friendly community and beautiful scenery.” Developers are required to include a proportion of ‘affordable housing’ in any development. This is made up of homes for rent and shared ownership.
