On Friday, April 27 at the Burton Hotel Kington, Steve Tilston and Jez Lowe two of the UK acoustic/folk scene's most popular, award-winning singer-songwriters will be performing together for a concert filled with songs and music, chat and banter. First paired together on tour a few years ago, Steve and Jez realised they were onto something special and embarked on a UK tour, sharing the stage and swapping songs. They have been delighting their audiences with their unique style ever since.

Both have been working and gathering accolades and awards on the acoustic scene for more than 30 years, individually as singer/songwriters, and as members of well-known collaborations. Jez’s bands The Bad Pennies and The Pitmen Poets are universally loved, while Steve is widely acknowledged as one of our most celebrated songsmiths within the world of folk and contemporary music. Steve has worked with ensembles as diverse as Ballet Rambert, contributed to the Guitar Maestro series of DVDs and worked with John Renbourn’s Ship of Fools. They are both much admired by other songwriters and have made many TV and Radio appearances.

Says Mike Harding “They work so well together – two of our best songwriters and singers, understanding and enriching each other’s songs. The audiences love them”.

Steve Tilston and Jez Lowe at the Burton Hotel, Kington on Saturday, April 27, 7.30pm for 8pm. Tickets available from Bopsoms Emporium, Kington and the Burton Hotel.
