ANGRY Ludlow manager Luke Hicks has threatened to step up the training after his side were held to a 2-2 draw by rock bottom AFC Bridgnorth Development in Division Two of the West Midlands League.

Their opponents are rooted to the foot of the table without a win and had only managed a solitary point before sharing the spoils at the weekend.

“It was probably the worst 90 minutes of football that we’ve played this season.” Hicks admitted.

“We had a poor attitude from the start.

"We were lazy and turned up expecting to win so I’m going to run that laziness out of them in training.”

Ludlow opened the scoring but then had to come from behind after their lowly hosts had taken an unlikely lead.

But they still had chances to win the game in the closing stages.

“Alan Williams has put us 1-0 up with probably the only decent bit of football we played, finishing off a good move that involved about ten passes,” the manager added.

“They’ve then had a 30-yard shot that has deflected up over the keeper and have taken the lead with a free header inside the box.

“We’ve equalised when Ryan Lewis has lobbed the keeper and James Byatt has nipped in to tap it over the line.

“We’ve had all the last ten minutes and Ryan [Lewis] has missed three one-on-ones which he would normally put away.”

Ludlow are at home to third-placed Wolverhampton United this Saturday.
