ON December 15 the staff at Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre got into the festive spirit to wear their Christmas jumpers for Christmas Jumper Day.

The centre is run by local charity, Grow Cook Learn and the staff started the Christmas celebrations with the popular Christmas Craft Fair back in November. Since then, they have had Christmas Vegetarian Cooking and the fun continues into the Christmas Holidays.

Coming up over the Christmas holidays at the centre is "Crafty Christmas" activities today with drop in sessions from 11am - 3pm.

This Christmas, bring the children for Crafty Christmas activities. Just £3.50 per accompanied 3-11 year old. No need to book, just drop in and enjoy.

After the buzz of Christmas, why not join the Winter Wellbeing Cookery Course? On January 16 from 10am until 2pm, prepare and eat colourful, vitamin fuelled dishes to kick start the year. Join Milly Rees as she explores healthy, wholesome food for the ultimate Winter Wellbeing course. Mid-winter can be a tough time for body and soul. This hands-on session is all about fighting the blues with vitamin boosts and happy food. £35 per person, booking essential.

The centre will be open as usual over the festive period, only closing on New Year's Day.

Entry to the Discovery Centre and Onny Meadows is free but there is a charge for visitors to enjoy our Shropshire Hills Through Time exhibition and visit our mammoth.
