A MUCH-loved pet has returned home after being missing for five days.
Kate Robertson lost her miniature chocolate and tan dachshund, Peggy, on the evening of Sunday, November 6.
Peggy escaped from their garden in Lower Bullingham after being spooked by fireworks.
Kate immediately started to search for her pooch and shared an appeal on Facebook.
Then at 6.15am last Friday, the family heard barking and rushed to the door to find Peggy sat on their doorstep.
Kate said: "I would like to say a thank you to the people of Herefordshire for helping.
"They have done a brilliant job and I think, possibly, they made her too hot to handle.
"A Facebook page which was set up to find her reached almost 90,000 people. We know it was shared a colossal amount of times."
When Peggy was missing she was spotted in Green Crize and Twyford.
Kate said Peggy had lost weight but is doing well now she is back home.
