The Coull Quartet, who have been on the international stage for several decades, will give a concert at the Lion Ballroom in Leominster on Sunday, November 12 at 3pm. The concert will begin with the second of Mozart’s so-called ‘Prussian’ Quartets, a sublime composition, and will finish with Dvorak’s radiant, yet nostalgic, ‘American’ Quartet, one of his most popular works. Between them they will play the première of Derek Smith’s Fifth Quartet, a work written in contemplation of human suffering and fitting for Remembrance Sunday, and an elegy by Puccini, the supremely beautiful Crisantemi.

Tickets at £14 (students £7) from Hereford Courtyard on 01432 340555 or online at www.courtyard.org.uk and also from Leominster TIC on 01568 616460. Pre-booking advised.
