FIRE fighters in Craven Arms have thrown open the doors of the station in the town in a good cause.
The crew in the town were on hand to welcome visitors and show them the fire engine and other equipment that is used to deal with a wide range of incidents.
People who called in also had an opportunity to ‘fuel’ on cakes and other goodies.
The event was held to raise funds that were split between the Seven Hospice and the Firefighters charity.
It may also have encouraged some people to consider becoming a retained fire fighter in south Shropshire.
