The Courtyard is the place to be this half term with a huge selection of performances and family fun all week long.

Tomorrow (October 24, 11am) Don’t Dribble on The Dragon will be on stage in the main house. Featuring magic devised by the late Paul Daniels, this musical adventure explores growing up and the importance of family.

For the third year running, Herefordshire’s Family Festival will be taking over The Courtyard on Wednesday, October 26 from 10am to 6pm.

For an entire day The Courtyard will be transformed into a magical world filled with low cost or free creative activities for families to take part in.

Free events on the day will include arts and craft activities in the Wizard’s Workshop, performances from About Face Theatre and outdoor activities with WildPlay.

There are also a host of ticketed workshops that can be booked, including tours of Hereford Football Club, puppetry workshops with Fetch Theatre and Spell Battle Stage Combat classes.

On Thursday, October 26 at 11am, Box Tale Soup present the classic story of The Wind in The Willows, featuring handmade puppets in the Studio Theatre.

The week ends with Channel 5’s Milkshake! Live on Friday at 12 noon and 3.30pm, visiting The Courtyard with favourite television characters that audience members young and old will know and love.

This year The Courtyard are also taking family fun out on the road by providing two mini fun days in Ross on Wye and Leominster.

Today, Monday, October 23, brings an day of activities to Ross-on-Wye with a Circus Skills Workshop run by Pink Elephant Circus at Ross Library from 11am to 4pm,free to drop into throughout the day.

There will also be a performance of The Tale of Merlin by The Courtyard’s Youth Theatre at 3pm underneath the Market House.

On Friday 27 October, Grange Court will be hosting workshops and performances for Leominster residents.

These include a puppetry workshop from Fetch Theatre, a performance of My Apple Dumpling Girl from About Face Theatre and The Courtyard Youth Theatre will finish the day with a performance.
