WORCESTERSHIRE Animal Rescue Shelter are appealing to find a home for an older dog.

Tyson originally came into WARS in late 2014 and found a home quickly but was returned to the shelter early 2017 through no fault of his own.

Claire Tregunna, shelter manager said: "We were fortunate enough to find him a lovely foster home, so he did not have to spend his time in a kennel environment and at his age, a loving warm home is what is best.

"He is about 11 years old and absolutely loves the company of people.

"He can be a little lazy at times, a little bit like a teenager in the morning, not wanting to get off his comfortable bed for his first walk.

"However, once he gets up he does love a gentle podder and enjoys going out for walks.

"Despite his age, he is still a strong boy and knows where he wants to go or be. His biggest weakness however is a belly rub, it’s just his favorite thing in the whole world.

"Combine that with a meaty stick and he’s anyone friend. He does, however have a bit of an old man stubborn streak, but some gentle temptation with a tasty treat gets him going again.

"He never fails to put a smile on the faces of staff, volunteers and his foster family.

"He is an absolute charmer who can win the hearts of anyone who meets him, despite the staffy farts he regularly produces, but sadly the forever home he so deserves has not yet come along.

"Tyson would love, and so deserves, a home as the only pet so he can have all the attention.

"He would suit a family who are home for most of the day, but can be left for a couple of hours dozing away.

"He will need someone who is able to give him regular walks and able to handle his strength on the lead and be patient with his stubborn streak.

"He would make someone a wonderful companion, repaying his new owners with a charming personality, lots of laughs and snuggles on the sofa. He will bring a lot of joy to someone’s life.
