REFEREE David Sallis has been praised for not brandishing any red cards after a 20-man scuffle broke out during a HFA County League Premier Division match.

Players from Tenbury United and Ewyas Harold squared up during last Saturday's game, which finished 1-1.

“There was a tackle on one of their players who has then retaliated,” explained Tenbury joint-manager Aaron Morris.

“I’ve gone in to break things up and more and more players piled in.

“I thought the referee handled it well.

"Some would have sent players off but there had been nothing much in the game and he just booked a couple from each side which settled things down.”

Morris scored Tenbury's goal, with Ryan Davies replying for Ewyas Harold.

Kington Town Reserves are now level on points with Harold at the top of the division after beating Ledbury Town 5-3.
