The first of Arts Alive's family shows for the autumn is Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre with Dinosaur Detectives: a fascinating journey exploring the early 19th century fossil finds of Mary Anning, William Buckland and Gideon Mantell. Their finds changed the face of history when they discovered bones of creatures that became known as ‘Dinosaurs’. A performance with rod puppets, shadow play and large scale projections shows the fascination, fun and conflict that surrounds the search for these amazing prehistoric remains.
Clydebuilt Puppet Theatre is a popular, well-established Scottish company. Their show is informative, entertaining and captivating, and will appeal to children aged 5+ and adults. There’s the bonus of a ‘fossil table’ to explore at the end of the show, which lasts for an hour.
