A TWO-runs-per-ball half century from Mark Porteous inspired Burway Renegades to glory in the South Shropshire T20 League final against Cleobury Mortimer.
Porteous plundered 50 from 25 deliveries, putting on 66 for the second wicket alongside Will Gough (27) as Burway made 205 for nine.
James Manley (43) and Nick Griffiths (30) opened with 59 for Cleobury but Gough (3-26) helped to dismiss them for 147.
The 10-team tournament was a roaring success and Burway led the way in the individual honours as Paul Sparrow was hailed leading fielder with seven victims.
Manley was the event’s leading batsman with a whopping 340 runs.
