THIS year’s Ludlow Fringe has been a resounding success, with sell-out shows, top-name acts, the best in touring theatre, music and comedy as well as street events for everyone to enjoy.

Fringe director, Anita Bigsby said: “It was amazing to see so many people enjoying themselves and getting such terrific feedback from all ages about the performances and the real festival buzz they felt around the town.

"This is only our fifth year as an independent festival and we’re certainly putting Ludlow on the map for festival performers and visitors alike.

“Our involvement with the World Fringe Network has given us a wider reputation with performers, which is how we manage to attract so many varied and top-quality acts.

“We really do feel we have something special here and we’re excited at the prospect of growing the festival into an internationally recognised event which will earn Ludlow the recognition of being a destination for creative excellence.

"We know that we have a terrific foundation to build on, but to take it to the next level will need more local support from businesses and individuals at a grass roots level so that we can all share in its success.”

Marketing director Sam Cole added: “Earlier this year we were approached by a university to compile an independent customer feedback survey for us, which will not only help us with future grant applications but will also give us a indication of what we are doing right and also what we can improve on.

"Early feedback has shown an overwhelmingly positive response to the festival and also that we are attracting visitors from much further afield, with many people visiting Ludlow specifically to see something at the Fringe.”

Ludlow Fringe is putting a more formal management structure in place and are keen to hear from people who have specific skills that can help it achieve its goal of making the festival a must-visit event.

“We’re always looking for individuals with legal, administrative, media, technical, financial or creative talent, so don’t be shy, get in touch,” said Sam
