PEOPLE in Tenbury have joined firefighters from the town to raise funds for the victims of the London tower block tragedy.
Firefighters were at two supermarkets in Tenbury and with the help of shoppers raised more than £1,300 for the victims of the fire at Grenfell Tower in Kensington.
The fire fighters were at Bowketts Supermarket helping people to pack shopping and carrying it to cars while at Tesco it was a case of using collection buckets.
Seven staff from the Tenbury station took part in the fundraising.
Other events are being planned for later in the year and will probably include a charity car wash and the annual summer barbeque.
