COLONEL Guy Thorneycroft took the salute at Diddlebury after the dedication of a standard for the women's section of the Royal British Legion, Corvedale and District Branch, back in April 1983. It was the first time the section had had a standard. Standard bearer was Nell Dyter (fourth from right). Other members of the women's section of the branch are also pictured.
