A RECRUITMENT drive is looking to make the thin blue line a bit thicker.
There is a bid to recruit more volunteer policemen and women.
Special constables are not paid officers but receive training and can be drafted in to help regular members of the force when needed, such as at major public events.
There was a special constable in Ludlow outside the Castle telling people about the role.
