UNDER the captaincy of Selwyn Green, the dominant Sun & Slipper team were crowned Rock and District Darts League champions with a 100% win record, only conceding 20 legs throughout the season.

The Fountain took the league runners-up spot and were the only winners over the Sun & Slipper in the Knock-Out Cup, going on to lift the trophy after battling to a 5-2 win against the Stable.

The Most Sporting Team saw Shelsley Social Club defeated by HR’s Sports Bar in a play-off, leaving Shelsley with the wooden spoon.

With three players equalling the highest shot off of 160, there was a mini competition to decide the victor. Richie Jones and Matt Sheehan couldn’t repeat the feat, but Owen Davies smacked in another 160 start. The highest finish was performed by Ollie Green who took out 123.

In the battle of the captains, Brian Humphries (Bell @ Pensax) pipped Selwyn Green, in a tight 2-1 win. Laura Morris and Nick Jones lost to Ellie Meek and Steve Ingram in the mixed doubles final.

The Sun & Slipper trebles team of Matt Sheehan, Tim Green and Shaun Meek outshone the Stable Tavern’s trebles of Razz Worrall, Chris Martin and Nick Jones, taking a comfortable 2-0 success while, in the doubles, Tim Green and Shaun Meek saw off team-mates Ollie Green and Steve Ingram.

Shaun Meek took to the stage again for the men's singles final against Nick Jones. Despite Shaun taking the first leg, Nick dug deep for the second leg, and then built on his confidence scoring 180 and 130 in the third leg to lift the prestigious cup.
