A MAJOR theatrical production is stopping off in Tenbury for one night only as part of its nationwide theatre tour.

Blackeyed Theatre are touring the country with Frankenstein but, unlike previous productions of the gothic horror, this new adaptation is a little bit different.

“If you think you know Frankenstein then think again,” said Regal manager Adey Ramsel.

“This isn’t the old Hammer Horror version, this production goes back to the original novel, really bringing out the characters and the whole question of creation."

"There is a mix of live actors and puppetry involved used in much the same way the theatre show War Horse did a few years back.

"Blackeyed Theatre have a great reputation for world-class theatre and this will really appeal to our audience who come and see the live broadcasts from the likes of the RSC and National Theatre.

“To attract a show of this calibre to the Regal is helping to put us on the touring map and helps us to bring more quality live entertainment in.”

Blackeyed Theatre have been touring for over 12 years and their mission is to offer exciting, affordable work that attracts a wide audience; and they promise audiences to ‘create a theatrical experience that entertains, provokes and inspires in equal measure'.

Frankenstein runs for one night only on Saturday (March 25) at 7.30pm. Bookings can be made through www.regaltenbury.co.uk, or phone the box office on 01584 811442.
