HEREFORD Dynamix Trampoline Club claimed 23 medals at the West Midlands NDP qualification competition in Cannock.

The medal haul included eight golds, six silvers, six bronze and and three team medals.

The 23 qualifiers will now represent the West Midlands in the team final event in June.

Early success this year follows on from a a fantastic 2016 for Hereford Dynamix, which saw Emogene Mullis, Rebecca Board and Catherine Sheridan crowned national NDP champions.

The club also have members competing in the National BGSA Trampoline Final, which features gymnasts representing their schools.

Top three placings has allowed members from the Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School and Whitecross High school entry to the national event in Newcastle

Bishops pupils Rebecca Board, Jasmine Parry, Emily Godsall and Charlotte Walden came second, as did Whitecross pupil Marcus Carey Powell.

Fellow Whitecross students Emily-Jane Cox, Megan Green, Katy Handley and Maisie Andrews finished fifth, while St Mary's High School pupil Jasmine O’Leary narrowly missed out in reaching the final by 0-1 points and came fourth.

Head coach Sam Board said: "They are enjoying themselves and being rewarded for their hard work, a real confidence boost for them all."
