GASLIGHT, one of the greatest thrillers of all time, comes to Malvern Theatres from Monday, February 27 to Saturday, March 4.
While her husband, Jack Manningham (Rupert Young), is on the town each evening Bella (Kara Tointon) is left home alone. She can’t explain the disappearance of familiar objects, the mysterious footsteps overhead or the ghostly flickering of living room gaslight - is she going insane? But is the terror only in her mind, or are there dark secrets lurking in her home. The surprise arrival of retired Detective Rough (Keith Allen) leads to a shocking discovery that will shake Bella's respectable Victorian marriage to its core.
Written by Patrick Hamilton, the play gave rise to the term 'gaslighting', a form of psychological abuse in which the victim is fed false information with the aim of making them doubt their reason.
Gaslight will be at Malvern Theatres from Monday, February 27 to Saturday, March 4. To book, call the box office on 01684 892277 or visit malvern-theatres.co.uk
