HARRIETT Baldwin MP has been taking questions from a future generation of voters.

The West Worcestershire MP, whose constituency includes Tenbury, answered questions on topics ranging from Donald Trump to Brexit as part of a special class on politics at Tenbury Primary School.

She visited the school – which joined the Bishop Anthony Educational Trust earlier this year - to help with a series of special classes, led by teacher Jason Griffiths, on politics.

Harriett Baldwin led the year-six pupils in a mock debate on school uniform and answered questions on a wide variety of subjects.

“It was great to visit this outstanding primary school and chat with the year-six pupils,” she said.

“They are clearly well informed on local, national and international politics and they posed some tricky questions.

“As is it was Children in Need Day, the pupils were not in uniform but, after our vote, it is clear that school uniform is to stay for the rest of the year.

“I am grateful for the invitation to visit and hope that some of the boys and girls will be inspired to take an even greater interest in the political world.”
