ONE of the volunteers at Burford House Garden is in seventh heaven.

Rose Tedstone is one of the ‘garden angels', who are helping to restore the garden and its clematis collection, came away from a major garden show loaded down with accolades.

She who won five awards at this year’s RHS Malvern Spring Festival.

Rose came first in the Petite Arrangement, the Flowering Shrub Arrangement and the Mixed Flower Arrangement categories and also won a Best in Section and a bronze award in the Grand Occasion category with a stunning arrangement to celebrate the Queen's 90th birthday.

Since 2013, the Burford House Garden Angels have gradually been restoring Burford House Gardens, once home to the National Clematis Collection, to their former glory.

Burford House garden store manager Paul Benson said: “We are all thrilled for Rose, she certainly deserved to win these awards with her amazing arrangements.

“If anyone is interested in joining the Burford House Garden Angels, we meet regularly, usually twice a month on a Sunday.

“We’re a dedicated, enthusiastic, extremely friendly and welcoming group of all ages, from all walks of life. You don’t have to have expert knowledge, we have that between us.”
