THERE was a major emergency in Ludlow that brought fire fighters from all over the country to tackle a blaze in a flat in Rocks Green.
The alarm was raised at 11pm on Sunday (April 24) following a fire in a first floor flat in Ferney Avenue.
Flames and smoke swept through the flat and its roof.
An aerial platform ladder was amongst the equipment used by fire fighters from Ludlow, Craven Arms, Cleobury Mortimer and Shrewsbury.
Breathing apparatus and water jets were also used by the fire services who spent more than two hours dealing with the incident.
There are no reports of any injures.
