AN exclusion cordon was put in place because of a major barn fire near Ludlow.
The barn at Middleton contained agricultural chemicals and there were concerns that the stone building had become structurally unsafe because of the intensity of the fire.
Fire crews from Ludlow, Craven Arms, Cleobury Mortimer and Bridgnorth attended the incident. Four appliances including a pumping unit and water carrier were involved.
The stone barn of approximately 300 square metres was badly damaged in the fire.
It started at just after 6pm on Saturday, March 12 and the fire fighters spent more than three hours dealing with the incident.
