LOVERS in Ludlow had the chance to pick up a signed copy of a book of romantic verse in time for Valentine’s Day.
In time for Valentine’s Day Ludlow poet Steve Griffiths has published a very personal book of love poems.
‘Late Love Poems’ was launched at a special evening of poetry at The Blue Boar and Steve was also at The Castle Book Shop in the town centre to sign copies.
Late Love Poems are a series of celebrations and meditations, poems of playfulness and tragedy, loss and recovery.
“We knew each other when we were 19 and found each other again in our fifties,” said Steve Griffiths.
“It was third time lucky.
"These poems celebrate the ways things fell into place for us, how suddenly life was very, very good – and gave us the resources to deal with some hard times.”
