LUDLOW HC's men booked their place in the quarter-finals of the England Hockey Vase with a 4-2 win at league rivals Bromsgrove.
But they had to come from behind after the home side took a slender 1-0 lead into the break.
Two goals inside the opening ten minutes of the second period, including one from a well-worked penalty corner, edged Ludlow into the lead and they struck a third as the game entered the final quarter.
The home side, who won the West Midlands League Premier Division match between these two sides earlier in the season, were not helped when they had their keeper harshly dismissed and the visitors duly extended their lead with the resulting penalty stroke.
Bromsgrove bagged a second goal late on but it is Ludlow who will face North Notts in the last eight as they look to improve on last season’s quarter-final exit.
Gavin Hughes led the way with a second-half brace with the other goals coming from Matt Blount and Andy Richards.
