IT will be a day strictly for ‘the birds’ at the Shropshire Hill Discovery Centre.
The centre is entering into the spirit of the RSPB garden birdwatch on Saturday (January 30) with a day given over to flight and feathers.
There will be a chance to meet the owls from Chelmarsh Owl Sanctuary, chat to the RSPB, do a spot of bird watching and make bird feeders for £1.50 each.
A family storytelling session with Mike Rust ‘How the Nightingale got its Song,’ is scheduled for 11.30am and there is no need to book
At 2pm there will be an opportunity to find out about magnificent Red Kites from local expert Leo Smith with donations for Red Kite Project. Booking is advisable for the Red Kite talk.
Donations can be given on the day for Grow Cook Learn, Chelmarsh Owl Sanctuary and the Red Kite project.
The celebration of all things avian is between 10am and 4pm.
