A COMMENDABLE performance saw Ludlow SC finish fourth in round two of the National Arena League Division Three West at Tamworth.
They scored 160 points and only missed out on second place behind winners Camp Hill Edwardians A?by 14 points.
Absences due to illness and other engagements meant that many Ludlow swimmers had to compete against much older rivals and head coach Sandra Burgess said: “It was great to see so many swimmers return from university to support the team and I am sure we can build on this result.
“The younger swimmers did us proud - swimming for the first time were Sarah Gray, Lotti Sargent and Kaitlyn Orme.”
Particular mention should be made of Rebecca Morgan, who, at only 14, was second in the Ladies’ 200-metres individual medley. She also won the 15 and Under butterfly.
Others who achieved first places were Oliver Morgan (13 and Under backstroke and 100m freestyle), Katie Wright (13 and Under breaststroke), Kieran Martin (open breaststroke), Jack Corston (Men’s 200m individual medley and 100m freestyle), Jack Forrester (Under 11 backstroke) and George Jennings (15 and Under backstroke).
