THE longest day will be a slow food day in Ludlow.

People in the town are urged to get out doors for an afternoon, and help celebrate the summer’s longest day with some fun and games with Ludlow Slow Food’s ‘Summer Solstice Celebration.’

This will be a mouth-watering way to spend Sunday afternoon (June 21) by buying a ticket and following the snail trail through town to arrive at the secret location for the event.

There will be fun and games with organised and informal activities which also includes sitting and admiring one of Ludlow's most spectacular ‘secret’ walled gardens. Activities include tug of war between summer and winter, snail racing, giant Jenga, egg and spoon, and a splat the rat game.

Tickets include Summer Paella with seasonal vegetables and strawberries and cream. For more information and booking please go to www.slowfoodludlow.org.uk or call 01584 878398.
