THE high point of British motoring was celebrated in Ludlow

Nearly 200 vintage vehicles were shown at their best at the Marches Transport Festival that ran for two days alongside the Spring Food Festival.

The oldest car on display was a 1926 Austin Clifton Tourer that was among an impressive list of pre-war vehicles with a 1927 Rolls Royce Coupe perhaps the most eye-catching.

There was a strong collection of classics from the 1960s, 70s and 80s including Jaguars, Lotus, MGB, and Land Rover.

Not all of the cars were British with Alfa Romeo, Citroen, Mercedes Benz and Simca included in the display of ‘modern classics.’

Everyday cars that ‘dad used to drive’ were represented by fine examples from Morris, Ford, Hillman and Datsun.
