POLICE have warned people to be on their guard after a series of thefts from garden sheds.
The advice is that sheds need to be in good condition and secured with a padlock with mesh on windows.
Thieves can find it difficult to remove a lot of heavy or large equipment so bikes and heavy tools should be chained together.
Householders are also told to make sure that ladders and items that could be used to break into a property should be locked away.
