PEOPLE in Bishop's Castle will get the chance to have their say on the future of local NHS services.

The Bishop's Castle Patients' Group has organised a meeting at the town's Public Hall.

It will give people a chance to have their say on hospital services in south west Shropshire and East Montgomeryshire.

The main speaker will be Dr Bill Gowans, who is vice-chair of the Shropshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

Dr Gowans is expected to speak about current proposals and to answer questions.

He is the lead clinician in the design of the clinical model developed by the Future Fit Project for Shropshire.

Bishop's Castle Patients' Group, the Bishops Castle Medical Practice and Bishop's Castle Town Council all support the possibility of developing Bishop's Castle Community Hospital to include a local community health hub and an urgent care centre.

The meeting is on Tuesday February 3 at 7pm.
