ENGINEERS working on the improvements to Tenbury are keen to make more people aware of weight restrictions in the town.

This is necessary because of the improvements being made to roads and footpaths.

A 7.5 tonne vehicle weight restriction is in place throughout most of the day but is lifted between 7.30am and 9am and again between 3.30pm and 5pm to enable deliveries to be made.

The work on the section of the town between the Bowkett's supermarket and the Crow pub is expected to be completed by the end of March.

A second phase in Teme Street will be undertaken during the time when work takes place on building the Tesco supermarket on the former Auction Yard site.
