POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an incident that occurred in Ludlow involving a car that failed to stop.

At around 2pm on the Friday November 28 officers attempted to stop a red Fiesta that was being driven in Corve Street, as the car was blowing out a lot of smoke. When officers asked the car to stop, a boy got out of the car and ran away.

After this, a second person in the car drove the car away. The first boy involved, a 15-year-old from Ludlow, was arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without consent and is currently on bail until December 18, pending further enquiries.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the Red Fiesta being driven earlier in the day or the incident itself to call them on 101, quoting incident 372 of November 28.
