THE future of Ludlow as a major centre for food and drink will one day pass to a new generation.

Part of this process is to get children thinking about the skills that will be needed.

If the evidence at Ludlow Library was anything to go by them the future is in good hands.

There was a junior bake off competition at Ludlow Library with local baker Robert Swift judging the entries.

It was open to bakers aged between five and 16 years.

The bake off is the latest opportunity for young people with an interest in food.

In future years some of the young people presenting their breads, tarts and cakes at Ludlow Library may be found taking part in the annual ‘young chef’ competition at the food festival.
