PUPILS at Wigmore High School were rewarded for their achievements at the school's annual celebration evening last week.
Year-11 pupils were welcomed back to the school to celebrate last Thursday and, during his speech, acting head teacher, Dean Curtis, reminisced about their time at the school.
He also congratulated them on their all-round accomplishments.
Mr Curtis said: "In the summer holidays, our former year-11 students reaped the rewards of all their hard work with some outstanding GCSE results.
"As a cohort of students, they were an absolute pleasure to teach and achieved some of the best results we’ve seen at this school – 80% five A*to C including English and maths.
"On results day, it was lovely to see the smiles and the relief when they opened their envelopes and saw their grades. We wish them all the best for the future and remind them that they are always welcome to return for a chat or a visit."
