THERE was no need to get into a flap during a visit by a trio of special guests to Craven Arms.

Around 50 Brownies, Rainbows and Guides from Corvedale, Craven Arms and Hope Bowdler, joined together for an evening with Ashton Owls from Newtown at Craven Arms Community Centre.

Three young owls were shown to the girls who learnt about them and the way they live.

Girls were told interesting facts about the owls and then had a display of each one flying over them.

The evening ended with the owls having their tea of defrosted chicks which was fascinating for the girls to watch.

There are spaces available for Brownies at Craven Arms on a Tuesday evening and Church Stretton Brownies on a Monday evening.
