A HOLIDAY attraction in north Herefordshire has risen from the ashes after being rebuilt.

In February 2010, the 11 bedroom Bringewood Hotel at Burrington was badly damaged by a devastating blaze.

Flames ripped through the picturesque site near Wigmore, causing several hundred thousand pounds of damage.

In total, more than 50 fire fighters were needed to tackle the flames but, fortunately, no one was injured.

The hotel is now back in business and operating as a self catering holiday village.

Neil Cocum, the manager, was pleased to be back welcoming guests.

“After a four-year battle with the insurance company the Bringewood has risen from the ashes with a £1 million rebuild,” he said.

To mark the relaunch there was an open day on Saturday with the proceeds going to the Air Ambulance.

The Bringewood now has six luxury self catering apartments.

It set in 250 acres near Wigmore on the border of south Shropshire and north Herefordshire.
